Artist Luong Thu Ha (b. 1981) is a dynamic presence in Hanoi's contemporary art scene. Graduating from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2007, and currently a member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, she defines her identity through the dual pursuit of being an educator and dedicated practitioner.
To Luong Thu Ha's painting transcends technique; it is a thread connecting to her innermost emotions. While teaching grants her the opportunity to impart knowledge, painting allows her to maintain a contemplative private sanctuary. These two journeys are not isolated; rather, they seamlessly intertwine and nurture each other, cultivating an artistic identity that is sincere, feminine, and rich in compassion.
Her extensive artistic footprint is evidenced by a series of exhibitions, ranging from traditional silk painting to modern projects such as "The Nude" and "Thang Long Convergence". Notably, she radiates humanistic values through philanthropic art initiatives like "Artunity" and "Winter Plein Air" (Trực họa mùa đông), which support highland children. International projects such as Art Vogue D’Nation in Taiwan and the Vietnam - Korea Exchange Exhibition (2026) affirm her powerful artistic reach and goals.
"I am an art educator, and painting is an indispensable personal practice for me. Teaching provides everyday opportunities to share and learn, while painting allows me to sustain a profound connection with my innermost emotions. These two pursuits have always walked hand in hand, seamlessly nurturing one another throughout my professional journey." - Artist Luong Thu Ha
