Artist Dang Hien (b. 1982 in Hoa Binh) is a prominent female figure in Vietnam's contemporary lacquer art scene. Upon graduating from the Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts in 2013, she has devoted her full passion to evoking feminine beauty through the medium of traditional Vietnamese lacquer (sơn ta), crafting an artistic language that is at once elegant and deeply poetic.
Dang Hien's paintings do not attempt to narrate specific stories; rather, they focus on preserving the inner "pauses".
